Imposing Curiosity...origin of my creativity
I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. It may not have always been in the literal sense, but what is a writer anyways? A writer is someone who tells a story. Ok, so I have been a storyteller all of my life.
The world of creative nonfiction has always drawn me in. Just like a bug-zapper. Its just...so beautiful....*bzzzzat*
I feel drawn to fantasy in particular. All of that geeky stuff. Dragons, wizards, knights, adventure, and intrigue. Its just so fascinating to be enveloped in a world where anything can happen. Magic governs the universe, not always physics and politics.
Another thing that has driven me to become a writer is my passion for words. I detest numbers. Just like Margarette Atwood said in the novel Oryx and Crake...there are numbers people and words people. Numbers require a deep understanding of logic. Yes, it is beneficial to view the world logically. Safe, would be the word used for numbers. Life is always safe in the realm of the logical.
But with words...oh! the danger of it. You can lose yourself in the words and never return. I prefer life that way. I welcome change, I welcome creativity, and I welcome a lifestyle where logic does not dictate my actions. I can choose when words are the source of my power. And by being the writer I am...I am free.
Follow me as I make my journey as a writer, as an artist, as an actor. Whatever the case may be, I plan to tell great stories. You will be my audience.
